Handmade Snow Glaze Ceramic Mug
Only 12 items left in stock.
A rounded ceramic mug with a soft snow-glaze finish, available in blush pink or frost blue. The glaze gently melts and shifts across the surface, recalling fresh snow, mist, water, and changing light. Hand-glazing and kiln variation create subtle differences in color, texture, pattern, and finish, making each mug one of a kind.

Mika Matsuba is a Japanese ceramic artist whose work explores quiet vessel forms, natural surfaces, and the memory of fire.
Each mug is hand-glazed and kiln-fired in small batches, allowing the glaze to move naturally across the surface. Soft snow-like layers, subtle speckling, and gentle color shifts make every piece slightly different.
Inspired by fresh snow settling over mountain stone, this rounded ceramic mug carries a soft frost-like glaze that melts from milky white into blush pink or frost blue. The finish feels calm, airy, and one of a kind — made for everyday rituals and quiet moments at home.
Crafting Hours: Approx. 47 Hours
Crafting Hours: Approx. 47 Hours
1. Forming — 3 hours
Each platter is slab-built by hand. The clay is rolled, impressed with texture, shaped into its oval form, then carefully trimmed and refined before drying.
2. Bisque Firing & Cooling — 18 hours
Once dry, the piece is fired for the first time at a lower temperature. After cooling, the surface is further sanded and refined.
3. Glazing — 1 hour
The bisque-fired body is glazed by hand, allowing the surface color and crystalline texture to develop during the final firing.
4. High-Temperature Firing & Slow Cooling — 24 hours
The glazed piece is loaded into the kiln for high-temperature firing, followed by a slow cooling process to stabilize the ceramic body and glaze surface.
5. Final Selection — 1 hour
Each piece is inspected by hand, and any damaged or imperfect pieces are removed before the final selection.

We meet the highest standards of social and environmental responsibility. Every choice we make is guided by transparency, accountability, and a deep respect for our planet
At Planet Fix Project, we gather objects that carry more than function — pieces shaped by material, memory, and the hands that make them.
We work with reclaimed textiles, natural materials, and small-batch craft traditions to extend the life of materials and support slower forms of making.
Each piece is an invitation to live with care: for the home, for the body, for the maker, and for the earth.
